How we compare · Sources

Rent: we match your place to the closest CMHC Rental Market Survey zone in 40 major centres (by name, or by postal prefix in Toronto), falling back to the metro average. CMHC averages include long-time tenants, so new leases usually cost more. In Toronto, recent movers are compared with Rentals.ca asking rents instead. The zone match is our approximation. Place search is powered by Geoapify using OpenStreetMap data; we keep only the neighbourhood or postal prefix. These are public benchmarks, not user submissions.
